These open sessions are held by Joy McClure (but you’ll find Joy in what you learn and make). The dates and sessions change by month.


(Workshop located in the basement of the Mariposa Inn).  Non-members are welcome!

These sessions start at 11 am with Joy McClure.  Materials needed will be available unless otherwise noted, and are reasonable in price

Wednesday, 5/11: We will be making bezels for holding stones to a back plate. Bring a stone and bezel wire if you have it plus any metal smithing tools you have. We have some at the Quarry and always share between folks attending. Beginners welcome.

Saturday, 5/14: Bezels continued with also soldering them on the back plate and making bails. Folks attending this and last weeks Wednesday class could have a finished pendant by the end of this date’s class.

Wednesday, 5/18: Wax work in the first step toward centrifugal casting. Beginners welcome. When we have enough flasks, we will fire the kiln and cast. Questions?: Come to today’s workshop and find out about it.
